Addressing the build-up of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere – and the climate change it produces – is one of the most pressing concerns of today. To tackle the global temperature rise requires each nation on the planet to rethink it’s strategy for future energy production and to move away from carbon-based energy sources. Political and financial pressures can result in governments producing under-ambitious energy plans. Non-governmental engineering and technology institutes, however, are free to develop national energy plans based on cold, hard data. The FC-ES website brings all these together to make a valuable and unique contribution to the climate change debate.
